The beautiful capital of the island built on the edge of the 400 metres high caldera on the western edge of the semi-circular island. The two main museums of interest are the Archaeological Museum of Thera, and the Museum of Prehistoric Thera. The town also hosts a number of churches, including the famous Three Bells of Fira.

Situated on the north of the island on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano.. It is known throughout the world for its fantastic sunset, and is certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini . It is a traditional village with white-washed houses in narrow streets, blue domed churches and plenty of shops.
