Pyrgos

Is one of the villages of Santorini least spoiled by tourism.  It is built amphitheatrically on a hill that offers magnificent views of Santorini in almost all directions. On top of this hill remain the ruins of a Venetian castle that was once the island’s administrative center. Pirgos is a typical example of medieval architecture with narrow, labyrinthine streets, fortified walls and hidden passages that you can explore there.
3

Megalochori

A picturesque village where you can meander around the cobbled paths and admire classic greek buildings, churches with blue domes and tower bells. You will also have the chance to enter underground caves of the 18th century and see the place where people lived in the past.
4

Emporio

This is the largest village of Santorini situated at the center of the south part of the island, it used to be the center of the commercial affairs in the past. The big attraction of Emporio is the medieval castle where you can walk the narrow pathways and take pictures of the old houses that were built side by side in order to protect the castle.
5

Akrotiri

Here you will visit the oldest Venetian fort . It was built around 1335 and used to be called ‘La Ponta’, which in medieval Italian meant ‘the peak’. After that you can drive to the 19th-century lighthouse located also in Akrotiri . It has a terrific view of the south of the Caldera and is also famed for its sunset views.
